Salty taste is generally an acquired taste that can be changed by gradually lowering its intake. It usually takes few weeks to get used to eating low salt foods but once you follow it becomes your habit. There are few tips for low salt consumption.
pizza
Avoid using all kind of salad dressings, ketchup, pasta and pizza sauces, mayonnaise etc.
extra salt
Avoid sprinkling extra salt over food.
cheese
Avoid cheese and yellow butter instead use homemade white butter.
black salt
Instead of using white salt make use of black salt and rock salt.
chips
Avoid chips and other packaged snacks.
pickles
A strict no to pickles and preserved and canned vegetables.
noodles, pastas
Avoid ready to prepare food items e.g. noodles, pastas etc.
spices
Avoid using ready-made puree, spices, etc.
drink enough water
Make sure that you drink enough water during the day because salt absorbs water from our body and makes you feel dehydrated.
curd
For Indians it's a habit of pouring salt even in dough, curd and over salads to enhance the taste, so avoid doing this.
black pepper powder
To enhance the taste of food items try and use black pepper powder, roasted cumin seed powder, lemon juice etc.
